Michael was a student of mine at PHS in Plattsburgh. He was a soft spoken, gentle young man who always had a smile on his face. He was a friend to so many. He will be missed.

It breaks my heart to hear this sad news. Michael, you are and will be missed. I grew up in Plattsburgh on the Golf team with Mike. He had a fast Jetta and always made it to the golf course first after school. I remember catching rides with him and he would still even have time to stop at Burger King for two burgers, ketchup only. I remember the hearing the tunes of Ministry for the first time in his Jetta. May God Bless you in heaven Mike.

My favorite memory with Mike was when we spent half a day trying to capture and relocate a squirrel that was living in Mike's garage. We finally caught it and drove to a park. Mike released the squirrel in front of a big tree that he was sure the squirrel would love. The squirrel immediately turned around, ran between Mike's legs, and hid under our car. We had lots laughs that day.

I went to grad school with Mike and we kept in touch through lunches every few months. He was a great guy and a good friend. Very smart, analytical, and curious.
