Michael Eugene Kemp joined his heavenly Father Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the age of 61.
He was born May 22, 1963, in Hartshorne Oklahoma, the son of Herbert Kemp and Ruth Baker Kemp. The family moved to Denison Texas in 1976 where he attended school and graduated Denison High School in 1982.
He met the love of his life Teresa and the two married on August 16, 1986, in Denison Texas.
They decided Denison would be where they planted their roots. In 1991 the couple started their family with a baby girl, Tia Kemp, two more children shortly followed daughter Michaela Kemp in 1993 and son Michael Kemp Jr in 1996. They recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary and their overwhelming love for each other.
For 32 years Michael drove trucks over the road and was always greatly missed and greeted with open arms upon his arrival back home from his trips. He never missed an opportunity to go watch Michael Kemp Jr's tennis tournaments or take the kids out fishing which they did quite often.
The last seven years of Michael's life he enjoyed being a valet driver for Choctaw Casino. He also discovered his love for playing pool. He was a member of the APA League and team member of Strokin Jokers and Screamn' Sharknado.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Ruth Kemp, brothers Hubert Jr and Kenneth Kemp, sister Doris Coley, grandparents David Baker, Sisen Baker and David Kemp, great grandparent Ada James.
He leaves behind his beloved family wife of 41 years together, Teresa Kemp of Denison Texas, children Tia Kemp and partner Robert Bradly of Gastonia North Carolina, Michaela Kemp and partner Ricky Bowling of Denison Texas, Michael Kemp Jr and partner Nichole Haiakanubbi of Durant Oklahoma, grandchildren Anastasia Kemp, Ariana Kemp, Sunny Bowling, Danny Bowing, Gracie Kemp and Lenix Haiakanubbi sisters Darla Accord and Judy Kemp, many other family members.
Michael Eugene Kemp was a wonderful husband, father and friend and will truly be missed by many.
