Celebration of Life
Bruce Elliott Adams, a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle passed away on
September 2, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was 62.
Early Life
Born on October 31, 1962, in Denison, Texas, at Madonna Hospital, Bruce was the beloved son of Chester and Julia Adams. He grew up in a home filled with love, faith, and family values that would guide him throughout his life. Bruce attended Denison High School in Denison, TX and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army.
Career
After completing his military service, Bruce devoted 32 years to a career in operations and logistics, serving with Oscar Meyers and later Lennox International. He was respected for his reliability, his steady presence, and the pride he brought to every task. Colleagues and friends alike valued his strong work ethic, helpful nature, and the quiet dignity with which he approached his work.
Faith & Community
Faith was the cornerstone of Bruce's life. As a man of God, he lived out his beliefs in word and deed, offering kindness and generosity to others. He attended The Life Church of Dallas, TX. His legacy of faith continues to inspire those who knew him.
Legacy
Bruce's life was marked by love, strength, humor, and service. Friends and family will remember him for his warm smile, his joyful spirit, and the countless ways he gave of himself. His legacy will live on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the devotion of his children, nieces and nephews, and the cherished memories of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family Life
Above all else, Bruce cherished his family. He was proud of his children and found endless joy in his grandchildren, who brought light to his days. His quick wit and unforgettable humor made every gathering brighter, filling the room with laughter and ease. Just as much as he could make others laugh, he could be counted on when strength and steadiness were needed most. To his loved ones, Bruce was not only a father, grandfather, brother and uncle but also a constant source of love, comfort, and dependability.
He is survived by his children, Andrae Cook of Sherman, Texas; Bryson Overstreet (Crystal
Overstreet) of Fort Worth, Texas; and Brianne Overstreet of Fort Worth, Texas; his grandchildren, Camden Overstreet, Baylor Overstreet and Nevaeh Christian; his siblings, Larry Adams (Billie Jean Adams), Betty Adams, Rev. Craig Adams (Rev. Rosie Adams), and Gerry Adams; his aunt, Gladys Perry; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
