Michael L. "Mike" Kernohan, age 49, of Cambridge Springs, passed away at his residence with his family by his side on Monday June 5, 2023. He was born in Camp Lejeune, NC on October 1, 1973. The son of Patrick and Deborah (Ross) Kernohan of Erie.
Mike had been a supervisor at Plastek for many years. He was a very avid fisherman and hunter. Mike enjoyed figure eight car racing where he was known as "8 Ball" at the track, but most especially he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Wells Lloyd Ross and his paternal grandparents Frank and Betty Palagyi.
Besides his parents, survivors include his loving wife Jennifer (Covert) Kernohan, two sons, Austin Kernohan (Alexandria) and Jordan Kernohan (Stephanie) both of Erie, three stepchildren, Christopher Rison (Amanda), Shelby Rison and Tatum Rison both of Pittsburgh, maternal grandmother, Rosemary Ross of Conneaut, OH., three siblings, Adam Kernohan of McKean, Dennis Kernohan of NC., and Bonnie Overmoyer (Mark) of Erie, two grandchildren, Dimitri and Cheyenne and four step grandchildren, Ryleigh, Everlei, Dominic and Skylar. Several nieces and nephews also survive and a close friend Tony Bardo.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. Friday from 2 until time of services at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Vince Rizzone officiating.
