Michael James King, age 60, passed away on Monday June 10, 2024, at his home in Keshena. Michael was born on August 26, 1963, in Antigo to the late James and Ruth (Frechette) King. He worked many years as a slot technician at the Oneida and Menominee Casino. On February 10, 1996, Michael was united in marriage to Lori Schlichting. The couple spent a wonderful loving 23 years together before Lori's passing in 2019. He was talented at playing the guitar and made music with his love of his life Lori. Michael was an active lifelong member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena. He volunteered his time at the church as an altar server, mowing the lawn and anything else that needed to be done at the church. Michael had an eye for photography and would snap a picture when he could. He had skill when it came to technology and would share all the lingo. Michael was a kind, generous person but was never too outspoken. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him.
Michael is survived by his siblings, Kathy (Lyle) Tucker and Mark King; siblings-in-law, Julie Schlichting, Kevin (Margaret) Schlichting and Adrian (Verdene) Schlichting; nieces and nephews, Rayna Tucker, Ruthie Tucker, Riley Tucker, Richard Doss, Mindy Miller, Molly Schlichting, Kevin Schlichting, Jr., Malissa Schlichting, Julie Schlichting, Courtney Schlichting, Leah Schlichting, Sequoia Schlichting, Deion Boivin, Heaven Ault and Alexander Lamberies. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his wife, Lori; furry baby, Scrappy; parents, James and Ruth; cousin, Reynold Frechette, Sr.; and parents-in-law, Delbert and Rosetta Schlichting.
