Mr. Michael Steven Knapp of Middletown, NY, died peacefully, Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center with his loving sister and brother in law at his side. He was 68. Michael entered into heaven to join his beloved parents while listening to stories and being showered with love by his sister and brother in law at his side. Michael has and always will be a blessing to our lives. He was born November 1, 1955 in New York, NY the son of the late Elwood C. Knapp and the late Alyce Gebhardt Knapp.
For nearly 20 years, Michael worked at his beloved job at Shoprite on Dolson Avenue in Middletown. Michael was an avid traveler. For the past 15 years, Michael made nearly 100 cross country trips, accompanied by his beloved brother in law Craig. He loved holidays, especially Halloween, travelling every year to New Hope, PA for the Haunted Halloween train ride and his Birthday celebration. Surviving are: His loving sister, Susan Miiller and her husband Craig Smith; His longtime girlfriend, Ann Minard; and his beloved cat, Julie; His cousins from Florida including, Marguerite and Michael Kiernan, William and Laura Scoville, and James and Susan Scoville.
A graveside service will be held at the Pine Hill Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Rd, Sparrowbush, NY 12780. Funeral arrangements are by the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771.
