Michael Thomas Knarr, 59, of Fleetwood, PA, unexpectedly passed away in his home on October 13, 2025. He was the son of the late Thomas E. Knarr and survived by his mother, Donna J. (Dunkelberger) Knarr. 

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by 3 siblings: his sister, Debbie Young & husband, Brian of Fleetwood, PA; his sister, Dr. Wendy Schuen & husband, Richard of Sunbury, OH; his sister, Lori Nase & husband, Dr. Wm. Brian of Slatington, PA. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews: Courtney Taney & husband Shaun, Amber Adams & husband Michael all of Blandon, PA; Jonathan Schuen & wife Katharine, Benjamin Schuen, and the late infant Jonathan Schuen all from Columbus, OH; Kyle Nase & wife Nicole of Fleetwood, PA; Dr. Katherine Palacios & husband Andres of Cartersville, GA; Dr. Kelsey Rosales & husband Carlos of Coopersburg, PA; Dr. Meredith Schuen of Anchorage, AK; Dr. Elizabeth Schuen of Dayton, OH; and Paige Schuen of Ooltewah, TN. He is also survived by 12 greatnieces and nephews: Kameron & MacKenzie Adams; Jackson & Harper Taney; Amelia & Archer Schuen; Micah, Isaiah & Elijah Palacios; Sophia & Anna Rosales; and Josephine Nase. 

Mike was born and raised in Fleetwood. He was a 1984 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School. He graduated from Washington Adventist University in Silver Spring, MD with degrees in business and marketing. In his youth, he was an avid tennis player and played trumpet in various bands. He was known for his academic aptitude and creative problem-solving skills. 

Michael served as co-owner and business manager of Grandview Manor in Fleetwood for the past 28 years. In 2017 he became the co-founder and co-owner of Randy’s Trash Company. Previously, he worked for his father’s painting and construction company, and for AEG in Beltsville, MD. Following his entrepreneurial spirit, over the years he pursued many other successful business ventures. 

Mike was very active at the Hampden Heights Seventh-Day Adventist Church where he donated and ran the audiovisual program. He donated his time and talents at 8 different local Seventh-Day Adventist churches and schools where he did landscape, kitchen remodels, setting up audiovisual programs, and various construction projects. Utilizing his craftmanship skills, he was instrumental in the construction of Grandview Manor, and various family member’s homes. 

Mike was especially known for his big heart and generosity. He was keenly aware of those around him that needed support, and he frequently and regularly gave anonymous assistance without seeking recognition. Mike loved to tell stories and interject his humorous antidotes. He was especially passionate about sharing his faith and love of Jesus. 

The family invites all who knew Michael to come celebrate his life lived in faith and to find comfort in the promises of that great day of resurrection. The service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Hampden Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2706 Old Pricetown Road, Temple, Pennsylvania 19560. A private burial will take place at Fleetwood Cemetery in Fleetwood, PA. Funeral arrangements by Kuhn Funeral Home, Temple, PA.
