Michael A. Lombardo

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Lombardo, born on September 22, 1956. His departure has left an immense void in the lives of all who were blessed to know him. Michael's life was a beautiful tapestry, intricately woven with love, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to his family, friends, and community. A proud graduate of Archbishop Ryan Catholic High School (Class of 1974), Michael furthered his education at Temple University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1978. His professional journey was marked by remarkable contributions to the truck leasing industry, where he dedicated himself to his work in Truck Leasing from July 1984 until his well-deserved retirement from Penske in May 2015. Michael's leadership and integrity shone brightly throughout each of his roles. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael's had a passion for serving his community. As President of the School Board for Bensalem Township School District, he tirelessly advocated for a brighter future for countless students, leaving an indelible mark on the educational landscape throughout Bucks County. His contributions included assisting with the construction and building of Cornwells Elementary School, the Bucks County Technical High School, and renovations at Benjamin Rush Elementary School.
However, Michael' s greatest joy was undoubtedly his family. He was a devoted husband to Marty Lombardo for 38 years. Their love story was a testament to unwavering support and partnership. Together, they nurtured two wonderful sons, Frank and Nick Lombardo, along with his daughter-in-law's, Heather and Rachel. Michael's heart swelled with pride for his grandchildren: Collin Schaffer, William Lombardo, Anabella Lombardo, Marcus Lombardo, and Michael Lombardo. He treasured every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will forever warm their hearts. Michael is lovingly remembered by his brother, Dr. Stephen Lombardo, and sister-in-law, Barbara Lombardo. He was a cherished uncle to Sean Lombardo (Robyn) and Evan Lombardo (Taylor), and is also survived by his uncle, Robert Lombardo. Michael will be deeply missed by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was the devoted son of the late Henry Patrick Lombardo and Rita Concetta Lombardo, whose values and love profoundly shaped his life. Michael's many relatives in Florida will fondly remember the unwavering support and love he provided as their Uncle Mike.
Mike's life was a radiant testament to the power of love, dedication, and service. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to those he loved will be deeply missed. Though he may no longer be with us, his legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to thrive in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, dear Mike. You will forever be remembered and loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Friday February 21, 2025 from 10-11am at Maternity B.V.M. Church 9220 Old Bustleton Ave. Philadelphia PA 19115. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem PA.
