Michael Markle Obituary
Michael Lynn Markle, age 58, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Michael was born on January 3, 1965 in Houston, Texas to the late James A. Markle and Linda Nell Markle.
Michael worked as an area manager in the restaurant industry. He enjoyed golfing, being on the beach and all things that included water. His nickname was tiburón, meaning shark in Spanish. He loved his dog, Beau and his bunny named Bunny. Sports were a big part of his life, whether it be watching his favorite professional teams, the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys or watching his kids play. The Markle home was a house divided, Michael and Austin loved the University of Michigan while everyone else loved our Ohio State Buckeyes!
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Gilmore Markle; sons, Colton Markle and Austin (Leah) Markle; daughter, Emily Markle; granddaughter, Adalynn Markle; brother, Timothy Markle; sister, Susan Markle Hinshaw; half-sister, Cara Lynn May; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Horace & Rebecca Sue Gilmore. He also leaves behind several extended family members and numerous friends.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Pfeifer Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor John Ennis officiating.
