In Loving Memory of Michael John McCormack
September 5, 1960 - May 27, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael McCormack, 64, of Lowell, MA, who died peacefully on May 27, 2025, with his beloved children by his side. His final words, "I love you," perfectly captured the spirit with which he lived his life--full of warmth, connection, and joy.
A lifelong resident of Lowell, "Mike" was a man who found happiness in simple pleasures: cheering on his favorite New England sports teams, feeling the breeze at Salisbury Beach, sharing laughter with family and friends, and enjoying time at the local pub, where he was as well-known for his quick wit and kind heart.
Whether he was watching a Patriots game, cracking a joke across the dinner table, or raising a glass with friends, Mike had a smile that made everyone feel welcome and a laugh that filled the room. He lived with genuine joy and treated everyone he met with respect and humor.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Jessica, and son-in-law Sean; his devoted son, Michael, and daughter-in-law Maya; and his two treasured granddaughters, Charlotte and Penny, who brought immense pride and light to his later years.
Mike's legacy is one of love, loyalty, and laughter. He will be missed deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his spirit will live on in every shared story, every inside joke, and every toast in his honor.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held at Captain John's in Lowell, Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a glass, root for the Sox, or spend a moment with someone you love--just as he would have wanted.
