Michael “Mike” McCravy, age 66, of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on November 11, 2025. Michael was born on May 9, 1959, in Akron, Ohio to the late Robert and Betty McCravy. He was one of three children.
Mike graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1977, where he attended vocational school for electronics. Michael’s career over the years included driving bus, driving truck, heating and cooling repair, and warehouse and tow motor work. Michael was employed at DermaMed for 18 years, where he retired on January 1, 2025. Michael was known as a hard worker and was always willing to help others. Beyond his work, Mike loved to golf, and enjoyed watching all types of sports or a good movie on TV. He also treasured his AA brothers and sisters, who provided endless love, kindness and support.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue McCravy of Tallmadge, who cared for him as he battled cancer. He is also survived by sisters Shari Blucker (Greg Smith) and Lori Schley (Craig Schley); step son Jason Garrard (Melissa Garrard); granddaughter Valerie Garrard; niece Lyndsey Schley (Christina Schley); and nephews Zachary Blucker and Jacob Blucker.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM. at the Tallmadge United Methodist Church, located at 207 N. Munroe Rd., Tallmadge, Ohio, 44278. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:15 AM prior to the service.
