Michael J. McGarr, 58, of Moore Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenburg. He was the beloved husband of the late Sharon McGarr (Locher) to whom he was married to for 18 years before her passing in 2013. Born in Allentown, Michael was the son of Nancy McGarr (Cope) of Moore Twp., and the late Charles McGarr.
Michael was a proud member of the U.S. Army and served his country with honor. Michael's career included roles as a service technician in the HVAC industry, a truck driver, and a machine assembler for Bell and Howell. His hands were never idle; Michael was a true jack of all trades, a handyman who took great joy in tinkering with various projects, never one to shy away from a challenge. He cherished the simple pleasures in life, such as fishing, watching NASCAR, and spending time with loved ones and friends. His warm spirit and willingness to help those around him will be dearly missed.
Michael will be dearly missed by his daughter: Kayla McGarr Karchner (Alexander) of Bloomsburg; mother: Nancy McGarr of Bath; sister: Karen Bauder of Bethlehem; nephews: Justin and Joel Bauder, and extended family members and friends.
Graveside services with military honors will be held privately. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements and cremation care are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC. - Moorestown
