Michael A. Middleton

Michael Anthony Middleton was born on January 25 1959 to Phillip and Barbara in Harlan, Kentucky. Michael passed away peacefully at his home unexpectedly while he was sleeping on March 24, 2024 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Christine. Loving father of Jason. He is also survived by his stepchildren, grandchildren, and siblings.
Michael was a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist since 1995 in sleep medicine which is something he was very passionate about, which led him to teaching others about sleep medicine. Since he was involved in sleep medicine he inherited the nickname "Mr. Sleep." Michael had many business ventures. He was knowledgeable and creative in all that he did. In his spare time, he enjoyed writing, painting, drawing, cooking, swimming and collecting many different things. He made people happy from all his story telling.
Michael loved his dogs, which they held a very special place in his heart.
Michael was known for his strong will and determination, always facing challenges with grace and courage. His kind heart, loving generous spirit, and passion for life will be greatly missed.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
Rest in peace Michael. Your legacy of love and light will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those who knew you. You will forever be remembered and missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. funeral service at Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 49150 Schoenherr Rd (n. of 22 Mile Rd.) Shelby Twp.
In lieu of flowers donations are appreciated to Saint John Paul II Parish, 5830 Simon Street, Detroit, MI 48212 for masses to be held in his honor.
