Michael D. “Mike” Parish, 61, of Mayville, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at his home.
Mike Parish began his journey in sunny San Diego on December 4, 1963, entering the world as the beloved son of the late David and Margaret (née Puddy) Parish. His life took a significant turn on April 30, 1988, when he exchanged vows with Kathryn Stippich in a heartfelt ceremony at St. Bridget Catholic Church in the town of Wayne. Sadly, Kathryn departed this world before him, passing away on July 27, 2021.
During his formative years, Mike attended Slinger High School where he was a versatile athlete, excelling in multiple sports and shining as the quarterback for the football team. His athletic prowess continued to flourish at UW Stout, where he not only earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering but also showcased his talent on the basketball court. Mike's professional journey saw him contribute his skills to companies such as Milwaukee Wire, Regal Ware, and Pentair, ultimately leading him to his current role as a manufacturing engineer at Oliver in Brookfield.
Mike's passion extended beyond the engineering world to the pastoral fields of his U-Rock Ranch, where he actively participated in the Scottish Highland Beef Cattle society. He took immense pride in raising and showing cattle, earning numerous grand champion titles on both local and national stages. An avid outdoorsman, Mike cherished hunting and fishing expeditions, embarking on memorable trips to Colorado, Illinois, and Iowa. He also initiated an annual family tradition of heading up north, a testament to his love for creating lasting memories with his loved ones.
Generosity defined Mike's character, as he was always willing to lend a hand to neighbors and anyone in need. His life was a tapestry woven with hard work, dedication, and a heartfelt commitment to those around him.
Those Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory include two sons, Kevin (Tricia) Parish and Sean (Jane) Parish; six grandchildren, Jacee, Owen, Jadin, Anna, Drew, and Claire; three brothers, Robert (Kathy) Parish, John (Jennifer) Parish, and Brian Parish; a brother-in-law, James (Bernice) Stippich; other relatives and friends.
