Mike was born in Canandaigua and was the son of Clyde and Dolores (Lynch) Mortensen. He attended Canandaigua schools and was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, class of 1982, where he was a standout cross country runner. Mike enjoyed fishing, loved his cats, and hanging out with his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the Canandaigua Elks Lodge at a later date and time to be announced. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Canandaigua. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario County Humane Society, 2976 Co. Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.

I didn´t know Michael, however, I knew his parents. I worked with his dad , whom we called Mort.
