Michael John Nash

Michael John Nash, age 53, of Lansing, beloved husband and father, passed away January 3, 2026. He was born June 4, 1972, in Grand Rapids, MI, to Linda (Tharp) and Arthur Nash Sr. Michael graduated from Waverly High School in 1990. He attended Lansing Community College before transferring to Michigan State University, where he graduated with high honors in 1996 with a B.A. in History. While attending MSU, he met his wife, Madeline. They married on July 28, 2001, in East Lansing, MI. Together, they raised three wonderful daughters.
Mike worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for nearly 25 years in various roles. His most recent position as a senior analyst was his favorite. Michael loved spending time in the Upper Peninsula with his family, playing card games, and was an avid community theatregoer. He also shared his love for "The Legend of Zelda" and "Pokémon" franchises with his children. He was very proud of his daughters' Ojibwe heritage and regularly attended language classes at the Nokomis Cultural Heritage Center.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline; his daughters Vivian Nash, Cynthia Nash, and Lillian Nash; siblings Arthur Nash Jr. (Carey Ann) of Saranac, Carrie (Jonas) Bednarek of Verona, WI, and Dawn (Joseph) Glossop of Lansing; as well as his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on January 8, 2026, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Palmer, Bush and Jensen Lansing Chapel located at 520 E. Mt. Hope Ave. Lansing, MI 48910. A service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:00am at St Joseph Melkite Catholic Church located at 725 W Mount Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910, family will be accepting visitors beginning at 10:00am.
