Age 62, of Sharpsburg, formerly of Oakland and Lawrenceville, Kevin died on Wednesday August 13, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Kevin was born on March 10, 1963 to Bill and Lucy O'Toole in Pittsburgh, PA. Kevin was a gregarious, charming and kind person. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great storyteller. You could not walk into a room and not notice him – he had a way of drawing people in. Kevin had a long career as a talented master plumber and a building engineer, having previously worked at Point Park University and as an Allegheny County plumbing inspector. For his friends and family members, Kevin was everyone's favorite personal plumber. In retirement, he enjoyed doing small plumbing jobs and meeting new friends and clients. Kevin was an excellent chess player who enjoyed playing online with other chess aficionados around the world. He was a very competitive participant in several fantasy football leagues and an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. For a few years, Kevin worked as an usher in order to see the Penguins play and was so looking forward to travelling to Dublin, Ireland next month, where he had planned to see the Steelers play. He also enjoyed motorcycles, coaching little league baseball, and classic cars. Kevin is survived by his son, Blair O'Toole, of Lawrenceville, and siblings Sheila Young of Forest Hills, Bill O'Toole (Kathy) of Bluffton, S.C., Bob O'Toole (Charlotte) of Allison Park, and Den O'Toole (Alyssa) of Dormont, as well as nieces Stacey Edder, Tracy Caffrey, and Laura Duffany (Nick), and nephews, Bill Young (Suzy) and Patrick O'Toole. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Blessing Service at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street on Friday August 22 at 5:30 p.m. followed by visitation with the family from 6 – 8 p.m. Interment will be private.

I've known you since high school, you were always my friend and like a little brother. We had some fun finding your cougar and going to car shows. Fly with angels Kevin!

It was just 2 weeks ago we were working on the Cougar together With Bill T and Brother Bob. You will be sorely missed by all who knew you as I have since childhood. The times at the O´Toole house were always great. I´m going to miss you Kev and be thinking of you often.
