Michael Oliver Obituary

Michael Shannon Oliver, 48, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Michael was born on January 15, 1975, to the late Linvil Stephens and Marsetta Williams who survives. He worked as a truck driver for many years. He loved to work on trucks, going hunting, fishing, traveling, vacationing whenever possible, playing with RC cars, playing his Playstation, and listening to music, especially country. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family.
Michael is survived by his mother and step-father, Doug and Marcy Williams; sister, Beth (Rodney) Smelser, Jonesboro; brother, Charles Oliver, Marion; sons, Mikey Oliver, Marion, and John Oliver, Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Sofie, Thomas, and Alice; special friend, Michelle Landis, Marion; aunt and uncle, Carol and Robert McPeak; nephews, Jesse Voland and Tyler Smelser; and friend, Jerry Voland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Linvil; brother, Lowell Shane Thurman; daughter, Deanna Oliver-Hosch; sons, Cody and Collin Oliver.
Arrangements for Michael have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at noon. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
