Michael J. Ouskin passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024, in Hamilton, NJ, at the age of 77. Born in 1946, in Trenton, NJ, to the late Michael and Evalin Ouskin, Michael's life was dedicated to the values of hard work, being a good provider for his family, and enjoying the simple things in life.
Michael's journey through life was marked by an unwavering devotion to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Virginia Mary Ouskin, who was the cornerstone of his life. Together, they raised two daughters, Tara LaPage (Jay), and Rebecca Ouskin (Mitch Runko). His legacy continues through his cherished granddaughters, Madelynn and Olivia, who brought immense joy to his later years.
He is also survived by his sisters, Marie (Joe) Czarnecki, Evalin Ouskin, Andrea (Tom) Sforza, and JoAnn (Andy) Csorba, along with many adoring nieces and nephews. Each family member was touched by Michael's loving nature, and he was a role model to all who knew him.
Michael's passion for history was a defining characteristic, as he was an avid reader and could often be found engrossed in books about the past. His love for the New York Yankees and the Giants was well-known, and he enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for sports with friends and family. Music from the Golden Era filled his home, creating a soundtrack to the many happy memories made there. His pet turtle was a unique and beloved companion, reflecting Michael's appreciation for all of life's creatures.
Those who knew Michael will remember him as a man who lived his values every day. His loving, generous, and selfless nature was evident in his every action, and his presence was a comfort to those around him. Michael's impact on the world was as profound as it was quiet, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Anthony Church, 626 South Olden Ave, Hamilton, NJ 08629.
