SOUTH WINDSOR- Michael J. Pettengill, beloved 9 year old son of Ryan Pettengill and Ariel Soucy, passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Michael was born in Waterbury, on June 9, 2014 and was the much loved big brother of Mia Dream Pettengill. He was a kind and caring boy who got along with everyone. He had the best infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. He loved Sonic the Hedgehog and Friday Nights at Freddy's.
In addition to his parents and little sister, Michael will be cherished in the memories of his grandmother: Darlene Lance; his aunts and uncles: Ashley Soucy, Chris Boyle, Aaron Lance, Arianna Lance, Cassie Pettengill and Jessica Jacobs; his great-grandma Nancy Soucy and his extended family of great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street in Plainville. A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 4:00 PM. Those in attendance are invited to wear Michael's favorite color of blue in his honor.
