Michael John "Mike" Pile, 67, died Monday September 8, 2025 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born April 9, 1958 in Garden City; the son of Ross E. "Earl" and Marnieta L. (Wasinger) Pile.

Having been a lifetime resident of Garden City, Mike attended and graduated from the local schools. He then joined in the family business, Pile Trucking. This career kept him away from home a lot however, he was fortunate enough to see many different places and form lasting friendships over the years.

Mike enjoyed bowling in his earlier years, word search and crossword puzzles, and listening to music. He dearly loved his two dogs Peaches and Princess, who would often accompany him on the road.

Survivors include his mother Marnieta Pile of Garden City; brother, Donald and Patricia Pile of Garden City; companion, Starla Ballinger, nieces, Kasey Pile-Parker and husband Gabe and Sadie Miller and husband Craig; aunts, Dorothy Carlile and Elaine Stephens and uncle, Vernon Wasinger; along with other extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his father Earl Pile; aunts, Kathleen Wasinger, and Anna Mae (Terry) Stoppel; uncles, Leo (Louise) Wasinger, Richard (Odelia) Wasinger, Cyril Wasinger, Larry (Carol) Wasinger, Sy (Norma) Wasinger, Ronald (Dolly) Wasinger, and Cledus Wasinger.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday September 17, 2025 in Valley View Cemetery with Fr. Jacob Schneider officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
