Dear Lynn and Katelyn,
It is with mixed emotions that we send to you our deepest and sincerest condolences. Hearing of Mike´s passing brought so many fond memories to mind. As we rejoice over our Brother and Friend entering into his eternal presence with the Lord and receiving his reward as a good and faithful servant. We also feel the sorrow of knowing our time shared in this life have ended. From the time of our first meeting in 1992, there has been nothing but fond memories formed by the joyful encounters each time we met. Mike´s wit and humor always brought laughter into every conversation. Mike´s genuine heart for others and love of Jesus was consistently displayed with grace and compassion. We will always remember the day he extended the invitation to worship with you both at Mt. Lebanon, and the time he came to support us during the installation of our first pastorate at Mt. Hopewell Baptist Church. For many this may seem like a small thing, but at that time interracial fellowshipping was not always welcomed, but Mike´s love had no boundaries nor limitations. He simply did as he often chose to do, what would be most pleasing to the Lord. Know that our prayers for you are constant, and our love for you is fervent!
May the Lord be your comfort and strength during this time.
Love,
Raymond, Freddie, Hannah and Timothy
