Michael Floyd Pittman, 63, went to be with Jesus on May 18, 2023.
Born on September 29, 1959, Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruby Pittman, and his brother, Jimmy of Greer, SC. In addition to Lynn, his wife of 32 years, Michael is survived by his daughter, Katelyn (Easton) Howard of Greer. Also surviving are his in-laws, Jerry and Gloria Weaver, brothers and sisters-in-law, multiple nieces, and nephews.
Michael graduated from Spartanburg Technical College. As the sole owner of Dreammaker Bath & Kitchen in Greenville, Michael's determination, expertise, and work ethic helped build a successful company.
With a spirit of adventure, Michael loved traveling, entertaining, and dancing. His love and devotion for his family was both genuine and selfless. He was trustworthy, humorous, and an encouraging friend.
As one of the founding members of Springwell Church in Taylors, and a member of the Creative Arts Team, Michael freely gave his time and efforts to serve the community for Jesus Christ. Faithful to his savior, Michael was a soul saved by grace destined to spend eternity with his Redeemer.
As much as these words offer some description of who Michael was, they do not come close to describing what he meant to his family and friends. Amicable and encouraging, quick-witted and always willing to share a laugh, Michael will be missed every day.
Now dancing with his Savior, his memory will never fade from the hearts of those who love him, miss him, and await the day to see him again.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Springwell Church on Wade Hampton Blvd in Taylors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Springwell Church.

Dear Lynn and Katelyn,
It is with mixed emotions that we send to you our deepest and sincerest condolences. Hearing of Mike´s passing brought so many fond memories to mind. As we rejoice over our Brother and Friend entering into his eternal presence with the Lord and receiving his reward as a good and faithful servant. We also feel the sorrow of knowing our time shared in this life have ended. From the time of our first meeting in 1992, there has been nothing but fond memories formed by the joyful encounters each time we met. Mike´s wit and humor always brought laughter into every conversation. Mike´s genuine heart for others and love of Jesus was consistently displayed with grace and compassion. We will always remember the day he extended the invitation to worship with you both at Mt. Lebanon, and the time he came to support us during the installation of our first pastorate at Mt. Hopewell Baptist Church. For many this may seem like a small thing, but at that time interracial fellowshipping was not always welcomed, but Mike´s love had no boundaries nor limitations. He simply did as he often chose to do, what would be most pleasing to the Lord. Know that our prayers for you are constant, and our love for you is fervent!
May the Lord be your comfort and strength during this time.

Love,
Raymond, Freddie, Hannah and Timothy
