Michael C. Sabel, 46, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center. Born on January 30, 1978, in Chilton, Michael was the son of William and Betty Sabel (Reinl)
Michael was a loyal employee at UW-Oshkosh's Post Office and printing center. His heart belonged to Wisconsin-based teams, particularly the Milwaukee Brewers, rarely missing a home opener. Michael valued spending time with family and was often surrounded by his close-knit group of friends, who were like family to him. In his free time, Michael could be found on the water, casting a line, or sitting on the ice. He enjoyed escaping to “the land" for cherished moments with loved ones, as well. Michael really enjoyed music, attending countless concerts and the ever-optimistic pursuit of gardening.
Michael is survived by his brothers, Scott (Brenda) Sabel and Steve (Lisa) Sabel, and their families: nieces Alexa, Madison, BriAnn, and nephew Brevin. He also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Delores Reinl, paternal grandparents, Clem and Sally Sabel, and Katie Wettstein.
On Wednesday, May 8, 2024 a visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and continue until 4:00 pm at which time a memorial service will begin at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside.
A memorial in Michael's name is being established.
