Obituary of Michael Angelo Saenz
Michael Angelo Saenz, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Chicago, IL, on December 3, 1963, the son of Jesse and Irene (nee Galanos) Saenz. Currently of Joliet, Michael grew up in Cicero and Bolingbrook and was a graduate of Bolingbrook High School. He was an Operating Engineer with Local 150 for the last 22 years.
Michael had a magnetic personality and never met a stranger. He enjoyed being out by the water with a fishing pole in his hand, loved having conversations over an ice-cold beer and a glass of Whiskey, and was passionate about rock 'n roll music.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (nee Erdmann) Saenz; two sons, John "Chango" Douglas (Cecily) Saenz and Michael Jesse (Aurelisse) Saenz; his mother, Irene Ruler; grandchildren, Hailey, Chelsea, Ava, Jesse, Ellie, and Johnny Saenz, and Jayden, Damian, and Skyler Sanchez; and his brother, Jesse Jr. (Joanne) Saenz. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He is preceded by his father, Jesse John Saenz, Sr.; and his brother, Frank Saenz.
Visitation for Michael Angelo Saenz will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Esssington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 8:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following services. The family requests that all those in attendance of services to dress casual and wear your favorite rock band t-shirt or anything red, white or blue.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to , 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431, would be appreciated.
