Mathews Funeral HomeMichael D. “Mike” Sartain, 56, of Abbeville, AL, formerly of Albany, GA passed September 13, 2025 at his home on the lake. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 6:30 pm at Friendship Baptist Church of Leesburg, GA. Pastor Mark Spraggins will officiate.
Mike was born in Albany, GA on September 29, 1968 to the late Terry and Joyce Sartain. He grew up there and graduated from Albany High School in 1987. He was Methodist by Faith and enjoyed fly fishing and football, especially the Georgia Bulldogs. Mike also enjoyed landscaping, bird watching and spending time with his family. He loved telling dad jokes and spreading smiles wherever he went. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gwen Sartain.
Survivors include his children, Brandon (Savannah) Sartain of Albany, GA and Haley (Brandon) Davis of Colorado Springs, CO, his fiancée, Jeyme Adams of Abbeville, AL, two siblings, Mark Sartain of Albany, GA and Veronica (Richard) Hudson of Columbia, SC, his grandchildren, Phoenix Davis, Ari Davis, Morgan Sartain, Dallas Sartain, Timothy Collier, Nicholas Collier, Cianna Wood, Josephine Barfield, Brody Barfield, and Baker Barfield and a great-grandchild, Nash Barfield.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm at Friendship Baptist Church.
