Michael R. Schember, beloved father, stepfather, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at the age of 67.
He is survived by his lifelong partner, Kathy Kidd, with whom he shared over 20 years of love, life's ups and downs, and countless memories; his son, Dustyn Schember; stepdaughters Ladawn Young and Lori Young; his brother and best friend, Tony Joyner; and his sister, Tina. He also leaves behind a loving gang of grandchildren who filled his life with laughter and joy.
Mike was known for his boundless generosity and tireless dedication to helping others. He spent much of his life giving back to the community, volunteering with local churches and food banks. Whether lending a helping hand or dropping food off on your porch, Mike always looked out for his family, friends, and close neighbors.
Always on the move and full of energy, Mike had a heart that never stopped giving and a sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. He had a way of making people laugh just when they needed it most and made everyone feel like part of the family.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember Mike's incredible spirit. Details will be shared with family and friends.
