Michael H. Schenke

Michael H. Schenke, 69 of Lodi, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Lodi Community Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was born January 31, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Harry A. and Margaret (Macejko) Schenke.
His family moved to Chatham, Ohio where he grew up and graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1971.
Mike had been employed as a Millwright for U.S. Steel in Lorain for over 40 years, retiring in 2014.
He married Susan Johnson on November 18, 1999. They resided in Vermilion, Ohio for 40 years, and had just recently moved to Lodi.
Mike enjoyed boating and fishing, and had been a member of Vermilion AMVETS.
He is survived by his wife, Susan;
sons, Dale Schenke of Rittman and Joe Schenke of Seville;
grandchildren, Joe Jr. and Peyton Schenke;
step-children, Jay (Christy) Hasenflue and Lori Hasenflue;
step-grandson, Kevin Hasenflue and niece, Michele DeLong.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Lewis DeLong.
A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held and announced at a later date.
