Michael Sena

Michael "Mike" Salvatore Sena, age 81 passed away peacefully on Sunday February 8, 2026, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL after a brief illness.

Born on May 27th, 1944, in Newark, New Jersey to the late Nicholas and Freda Sena of Belville, NJ. After graduating high school, Mike proudly serving in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne and was honorably discharged. Once Mike returned from the service he spent most of his years in New Jersey working in the electrical field raising his 3 sons alongside his wife Joyce. Mike later relocated to the Pocono Mountains for a short time before retiring to St Petersburg, Florida, where he was always known to help people in their time of need.

Mike was predeceased by his, wife Mary "Joyce" Sena, his beloved son Nicholas Anthony Sena and his sister Joanne Veniero.

Surviving are his son Edward Sena and daughter in law Theresa Sena of Fords, NJ and son Michael Sena of Lawrenceville, GA. Along with his sister Antionette Szatkowski of Sayreville and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords NJ 08863. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 pm during the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's name can be made to the New Jersey State Organization of Cystic Fibrosis at njsocf.org. A charity close to the family's heart.
