Michael "Sharp" Sharpnack, age 60, of Rocky Face, Ga. passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. He was born July 1, 1964. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Gail Sharpnack; parents, Ronald and Dixie Sharpnack.
Sharp had a love that roared to life on the dirt tracks, a passion that carried him through every lap with determination and grit. As a dedicated dirt track race car driver, he carved his path at the iconic North Georgia Speedway, leaving behind tracks of courage, skill, and unwavering commitment to the sport.
Each race told a story-of heart, of fierce competition, and of a love for the sport that could be felt from the stands. Whether it was the roar of the engines, the thrill of the chase, or the camaraderie with fellow racers, Sharp embraced it all. His legacy lives on not only in the dust he kicked up but also in the inspiration he gave to those who watched him.
To friends, family, and fans, Sharp wasn't just a racer-he was a champion of spirit, a true embodiment of passion for dirt track racing.
He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Sharpnack, Candius Patton; son, Josh Randoph; grandchildren, Devin Patton, Alexis Gallegos, Kaitlyn Gallegos, Logan Gallegos, Jay Bird Randolph; great grandchild, Alex Patton; many special friends, nieces, nephews, several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law;
