Michael “Mike” Paul Sherman, Jr, age 54 of Cabool, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the Houston House facility in Houston, Mo.
Mike was born March 3, 1970, in the state of California, a son to the late Michael Paul and Rosette (Tamas) Sherman.
Mike was a 1988 graduate of Houston High School and a 1989 graduate of the Universal Technical Institute for Automotive Mechanics/Automatic Transmissions and Auto Diesel Engines.
Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, canoeing and woodworking, especially cabinetry.
Mike is survived by, five sons, Andrew Sherman of Springfield, Anthony Sherman of Mountain Grove, Daniel (Paytra) Sherman of Milwaukee, WI, Kyle Sherman of Detroit, MI, Nathan Sherman of Willow Springs and one daughter Hannah Sherman of Willow Springs, two sisters, RayAnne Strubberg (Jeff) of Jefferson City and Charnelle Carrigg of Jefferson City, three brothers, Randy (Sheila Coffman) Churchill of Glencoe, AR, Jim Ostrander of Jefferson City and Joseph Sherman of Salem, AR, numerous grandchildren and his longtime partner Lindsey Mash of Cabool.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his stepmother, Carrollyn Sherman, a daughter, Monica Sherman, two sisters, Theresa Shockley and Lucinda “Lucy” Sherman as well as other family and friends.
A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at The Houston Rural Fire Association, 115 W Walnut Street in Houston.
