With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael A. Simpson, of Greendale, IN, who left us way too soon, on April 29, 2025 at the young age of 35. Born on February 26, 1990, in Cincinnati, OH, Michael was a beloved son to Brenda Simpson and the late Michael S. Simpson. He was a dedicated diesel mechanic, known for his skill and passion for his craft, as he worked tirelessly on big trucks throughout his career, helping countless others along the way.
Michael had a spirit that shone brightly, always dressed in his trademark cowboy boots, flannel shirts, and blue jeans, ready for the next adventure. He cherished the simple pleasures in life: bonfires with friends, sharing laughter over a cold beer, and creating lasting memories with those he loved. His kind heart and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Michael is survived by his loving mother, Brenda Simpson; his cherished daughter Sadie Rose Simpson; his soul mate, Bre Waterman, and her daughter Zoey Oak; his sisters Sheila (Harry) McCane, Crystal Cooper, and Stephanie (Jamie) Collins; as well as his beloved grandmother, Joan Probst, and grandfather, Joseph Simpson. His passing is also felt by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael S. Simpson, and his grandparents, Sharon Simpson and Dale Probst.
In honor of Michael's life, a visitation will take place at Brater Winter Funeral Home, located at 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
In Lieu of flowers memorials are requested to help defray the cost of the funeral. Funeral home representative will be available during the visitation to accept memorials.
In our grief, let us cherish the laughter, love, and memories that Michael leaves behind with each of us.
