Michael H. Slack

Michael H. Slack, Sr., 80, of Van Buren passed from life September 15, 2021 in Fort Smith. He was born November 2, 1940, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Allen Slack, Sr. and Irene Hughey Slack.
Mike is survived by one son, Michael Slack, Jr. and wife Halo of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Jennifer Stuhan and husband Eric of Van Buren, Arkansas; his brother Larry Slack of Lusby, Maryland; eight grandchildren, Tyler & wife Caitlyn, Boston, Madison, Mary Helen, Charlie, John William, Jack, and Cooper; one great grandchild, Andrew; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nola Bell Caudle Slack, his parents and a brother Allen Slack, Jr. Mike was a faithful servant of God. He, along with Nola, taught 1st grade Sunday School for over 30 years. Mike had the opportunity to be a witness for Christ through the bus ministry at the churches he attended.
