Michael L. “Mike” Snyder, 78, of Ephrata, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in 1946, in Trowbridge, England, he was a son of the late Harvey and Lily (Marshman) Snyder, and the loving husband to Rita (Gicker) Snyder with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
Mike was a 1964 graduate of Cocalico High School, and pursued a life filled with dedication and hard work, notably spending 43 years in the brick and block masonry business, a profession he cherished and shared with both his father and son. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mike was an avid sports fan, following baseball closely, particularly the Phillies and Tigers, as well as football, where he cheered for the Eagles and Lions. His love for competition extended to Nascar and in quieter moments, Mike found pleasure in solving jigsaw puzzles. Mike was a lifelong member of the Swamp Christian Fellowship Church and followed the Lord with all his heart. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Along with his wife, Mike is survived by two children, Jason, husband of JoEllen (Troutman) Snyder & Jennifer, wife of Darel Seibert; 11 grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, & Allison Snyder, Katelyn, John, Mark, & Matthew Seibert, Devin Martin, Kaylie, Madison & Megan Troutman; three great grandchildren, Mya & Sadie Snyder, and Emmett Martin.
Michael's memory will be honored during a viewing at Swamp Christian Fellowship, located at 390 Swamp Church Road, Reinholds, PA 17569, on June 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
