Michael Anthony Spruill

Michael Anthony Spruill graced this earth with his presence on August 6, 1959. He was welcomed with love and pride by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ceclephus l. and Agnes l Spruill in Jamaica, N.Y.
Michael was raised in New York, living with his Mother and Grandmother, Louisannna (Sissy) Spellman, who nicknamed Michael, her little monkey. Michael attended St. John's Lutheran School where he made lifelong friends. Amazingly, they all stayed in touch, especially Michael's best friend, Steve Bouchery. They called each other brother. It was truly a beautiful thing to witness.
After School, Michael started his work life at Expediters in New York as a hand truck worker and working his way up to manage, supervising 120 men. He was so very proud of this accomplishment.
Michael was also an excellent cook, especially his macaroni and cheese and loved to prepare dinner especially during the holidays.
While living in Forrest Hills, NY, Michael met his future wife, Deborah. He would eventually move to Delaware and the two were married on May 29, 2010. This year would have been their fourteenth year of marriage.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ceclephus L. Spruill, grandmother, Lousanna Spellman, Elizabeth City NC; mothers in law, Mrs. Dorothy Gibbs, Georgetown DE, Ms. Betty Cannon, Laurel DE; brother in law, Terrance I. Cannon, Laurel DE.
Michael leaves to cherished memories with his loving wife, Deborah; three step children, Ajee C. Mason (Shannon), Fredrick, MD, Deja J. Mason, Dover DE, Christian Mason (Naiya) Harrington, DE; mother, Agnes Louise Spruill, Elizabeth City NC; fathers in law, Burnell Gibbs, Georgetown, DE, John Cannon (Iris), Concord, DE; siblings, Jeffrey Spruill, Bronx NY, Corey Spruill, Bronx, NY, Robbie Spellman, Stephanie (Aaron) Isler, Georgetown, DE, Linda Braxton, Providence, RI., Timothy (Dawn) Cannon, Glen Burnie, MD, Angela Cannon (Franklyn) Charles, Hampton, GA., Stephanie Cannon-Jones (William), Owings Mills, MD., Cheryl Doughty, Seaford, DE., Gregory Gibbs, Georgetown, DE, David (Joy) Shuler, Seaford, DE, Jason (Kim) Cannon, Pittsville MD, Reggie Gibbs NV, Shanetta Gibbs, SC;
