Michael Tarpy, 67, of Biddeford passed away on Tuesday November 1, 2022. Michael was born on November 11, 1954, to Robert David Tarpy, Sr. and Cecile Morel. Michael was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He is a 1973 graduate of Malden High School in Malden, MA, as well as a 1974 graduate of Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK.
Michael & Joyce moved back home to Maine from Wichita, KS in 1986 as their desire to be near family was of great importance to them.
Michael had a love for the outdoors, spending much of his time camping and fishing. This love of the outdoors led Mike to many hobbies. Over the years he was a softball player, a softball umpire, a dirt biker, a snowmobiler, an ice fisherman, a disc golfer, an avid Red Sox fan who attended hundreds of Sox games at Fenway Park with the highlight being attending the 2004'World Series with his son & taking his family on Red Sox road trips to see games in 6 different cities from Toronto, Canada to Fort Myers Florida. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports & traveling with Joyce.
Mikes greatest sense of pride came from providing for his family & being there for them, which resulted in him being a man with a very strong work ethic & the best son, husband, father & grandfather that one could hope to have.
He is proceeded in death by Cecile Morel Adcock (mother), Kenneth Adcock (Stepfather), Robert Tarpy, Sr. (Father)
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Townsend Tarpy, Son Kirk Tarpy & daughter in law, Olga Tarpy, daughter Kerri Tarpy Lesieur & son in law Chris LeSieur, 5 grand children who were very near & dear to him, who he was Papi to them, Pavel Tarpy, Lily Lesieur, Trent Lesieur, Katerina Tarpy, Polina Tarpy. His sister Maureen Tarpy & brother Robert Tarpy Jr who reside in NH, His brother Kenneth M. Adcock, his wife Sherry Adcock & their children Dani, Molly, Mark & Mandy.
An Event at Camp Tarpy on Saturday, November 12th at 11:00 am; 55 Coolidge Street, West Newfield, ME
