Michael R. Thibeault, 65, of Gardner, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 17, 2022, in his residence.
Born in Gardner on November 19, 1957, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alice (Desroches) Thibeault. He graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational High School with the Class of 1975. Mike was a Direct Care Worker/ Health Aide employed by the Templeton Development Center for 30-years prior to his retirement in 2019. He was previously employed by Casa Lagrassa’s Restaurant and LA&D’s Lunch & Variety
He was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, where he volunteered at its annual church Bazaar. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Mike loved to go out to eat and being outdoors—where he always enjoyed the tranquility nature brought and loved golden retrievers. He loved to be active and know all things in the community—helping during voting and listening to the emergency scanner. Although Mike was a private person, he loved and treasured the time he spent with his cousins and friends.
Michael is survived by two aunts, Rita and Georgette Thibeault; niece and nephew, Thomas Thibeault and Alicia Wilson; many cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Richard P. Thibeault who died in 2018.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
Calling Hours will be held Monday, May 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440, or to Holy Family Academy, 99 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Please reference in memory of Michael R. Thibeault.
