Michael Aaron “Captain Mike” Thrasher of Mooresville, Indiana passed away January 12, 2025, at 50 years old. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 20, 1974, to Michael Kenneth and Donna Ellen (Clark) Thrasher. He was a graduate of Mooresville High School in 1992. Mike owned and operated MEKA Services a construction and restoration company. He was proud of his company’s service to the community of Henryville, Indiana after a devastating tornado and they assisted in contributing to the restoration of the school so it could be utilized once again. His family said he was a “jack of all trades”. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and being on the water. He was extremely generous in helping people and was so very humble about helping, not wanting any recognition at all. He was a very caring individual and had a passion for recovery and addiction and lent a hand and ear to them when it was needed most. He was loved so dearly by many and will be missed. He is survived by his parents, Michael K. and Donna E. Thrasher, his daughters, Allyson Thrasher, Emma Thrasher, Kelsey (Jake) Graham, Mikayla (Nick) Young, his grandchildren, Abigail, Jacob, Olivia, his brother, Jason Thrasher, his sister, Anna Thrasher, and his girlfriend, Margaret Collins. Please join his family to celebrate his life at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with Visitation on Friday, January 24, 2025, 2:00-6:00pm and the Funeral Service immediately following at 6:00pm.
