Michael A. Trumpower

Mike Trumpower, 73, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 17, 2025, following a battle with pancreatic cancer. His loved ones are grieving but also filled with peace, knowing he has gone home to be with his Lord.
Born May 19, 1952, in Phoenix, Arizona, Mike was the son of the late Norman and Iris (Keinath) Trumpower, and the third of 15 children. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged, carrying his commitment to integrity and service throughout his life.
In 1996, Mike met the love of his life, Valerie Monk, at the Arizona wedding of mutual friends. They soon married and together, built a life centered on faith and their family of four children.
Mike's work in the oil industry took him to 92 countries, where he was trusted and respected. A brilliant and motivated man, Mike remained grounded in humility. Whether negotiating major contracts, chatting with a cashier, or praying with a fellow believer in Christ, Mike treated everyone with grace and dignity.
He loved people deeply-connecting, encouraging, and helping wherever he could. Mike was a gifted storyteller, sharing his travel experiences and testimony of God's constant protection and provision. A devoted husband and loving father, Mike took an active role in his children's homeschool education. In his younger years, he earned both his helicopter and pilot licenses, pursuing life with curiosity and a sense of adventure.
Above all else, Mike's life was devoted to God, family, and friends. He was a dedicated servant and member at Lexington Church of Christ.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie Trumpower; his children Andrew, Dylan (Jacqueline), Connor, and Angela Trumpower; and siblings Kay (Derek Kleinknecht) McNaul, Scott (LuAnn) Trumpower, Chris (Deborah) Trumpower, Barb (Todd) Dilley, Sydney Alexander, Tim (Traci) Trumpower, Nancy Trumpower, Pete (Chastity) Trumpower, and Jeff (Brooke) Trumpower. He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family who cherished his presence.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by siblings Stephen Trumpower, Linda Trumpower, Patricia Hubbard, Debbie Trumpower, and Andy Trumpower.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with calling hours from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Lexington Church of Christ, 230 Delaware Avenue, Lexington, Ohio. His memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Celebrant Jerry Wilson officiating and Pastor Brandon Bogue assisting.
