Michael Voorhees Obituary
Mr. Voorhees was born on November 6, 1960, in Monture Fall, NY to Kenneth and Joan E. Palmer Voorhees. He completed high school and two years of college and went to work as a Master Plumber. Mr. Voorhees moved to southwest Louisiana in 2002 from Watkins Glenn, NY and has lived in the surrounding area since that time. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing; but he loved his family more than anything.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marilyn Porche Voorhees of Welsh; four daughters, Krystal Potter of Hartford, NY, Brandi Voorhees of Norwood, NC, Lauren Nunez of Westlake and Julie deLaunay of Colorado Springs, CO; a son, John Paul Porche deLaunay of Lake Charles; sister, Vickie Voorhees of Florida; three brothers, Jeff Allen Voorhees of Millport, NY, Kevin Voorhees of Columbia, SC and Tim Voorhees of Jasper, TX; and twelve grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Voorhees, cremation will be under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
