Michael Francis Watts, 82, passed away on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, in Melbourne, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Linda, of 62 years. Three children, Daughter- Lisa and her husband Michael, Son- David and his wife Katie, Son- Matthew and his wife Dawn. His son Wayne preceded him in death. Seven Grandchildren- Shawn (Cathy), Richard (Anissa), Robert (Ashlee), Morgan (Jake), Danica, Porter and Daniel. And 9 Great-Grandchildren. His brother, Joseph Watts, and 2 sisters, Joanne Hansen and Kathleen Farri.
Michael Watts worked as a gas station attendant when he was young and delivered newspapers on his bicycle. He became a pressman's apprentice and spent many years working in the printing industry, retiring in 1988 from Weadon Printing. He worked for the Washington Post in door to door delivery, earning many awards and accolades for his service and work ethic. He then became a Washington Post Distributor in Lake Ridge, Virginia. Serving the community for 25 years before retiring.
Michael Watts loved cars, it seemed he was always driving something new. He owned some motorcycles and loved taking them for a long ride. He could even be found drag racing his car on weekends. He liked taking road trips whether it was for vacation or just for dinner. And you rarely saw him without wearing some kind of hat.
We will miss his many stories about his younger days. His vast knowledge of many things, always available for help and advice. We will miss his grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken.
We will miss his hugs, his laugh and his smile.
A private viewing will be held on March 21, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date TBD
