Michael Anthony Weathers, 61, of Johns Island, South Carolina, passed away on August 12, 2024. Born on December 11, 1962, in Bardstown, Kentucky, Michael was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished son and brother. He was a man of many talents, with a lifelong passion for craftsmanship and all things automotive.
Michael worked as a carpenter, painter, and mechanic, a testament to his skills and dedication to his work. His hands could transform wood into something beautiful, restore the luster of a classic car, or bring life back to an old engine. A true master craftsman, Michael's work was admired by all who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, Michael was an enthusiastic car guy. He found joy in the roar of an engine, the shine of a freshly polished car, and the camaraderie that came with sharing his passion with others. He was happiest in his garage-mahal, surrounded by the tools of his trade and the vehicles he so loved.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Weathers; his son, Carlin Dooley; his mother, Rita Weathers; and his brother, Scot Weathers. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Weathers.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:30 am at the Weathers property. The event will take place in Michael's cherished garage-mahal, where friends and family are invited to honor his memory with the things he loved most-music, cars, and motorcycles.
