Michael Brady "Mick" Wilhoit M.D.

Michael Brady "Mick" Wilhoit, M.D. of Tallahassee, Florida, age 86, died on March 20, 2025. He grew up in Grayson, KY, the son of Henry Rupert Wilhoit, Sr and Kathryn Reynolds Wilhoit. Mick graduated from Prichard High School in Grayson in 1956, earned his B.S. from Georgetown College in 1959, and graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1963. After completing his internship, he served two years as a medical officer in the U.S. Army 6th Special Forces Group (Airborne). Subsequently, he completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Florida in 1969 and then moved to Tallahassee where he was in private practice until he retired in 2007. Mick had a life-long passion for classical music. He served on the board of the Artist Series, as well as serving two terms on the Advisory Board of the FSU College of Music. He enjoyed playing tennis, and Mick and Trish made many good friends on the tennis court.
Mick is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Henry Rupert Wilhoit, Jr. He is survived by his
wife of over 61 years, Patricia "Trish" Donohue Wilhoit, his sons, Michael Brady Wilhoit, Jr of
Roswell, GA, and Christopher Wilhoit (Katrina) of Tallahassee. He is also survived by his grandsons, Holden C. Wilhoit and Evan A. Wilhoit, of Tallahassee, his sister-in-law, Jane Wilhoit, and several
nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM
with a reception to follow at the house. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tallahassee
Pediatric Foundation, 1126 Lee Avenue, Tallahassee, FL, 32303, or to Big Bend Hospice.
