Michael W. Wooddell

Michael Wayne Wooddell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, born on July 26, 1970 in St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on August 16, 2024. Known for his warm heart and ready smile, Michael dedicated his life to the service of others, both in his professional capacity as an electrician in the automobile manufacturing industry and in his personal life. His love for his family, his tireless work ethic, and his passion for his hobbies endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his wife, Wanda Rice Wooddell, his children Zachary Wooddell, Luke Fleetwood, and Stacie Germaine (Jay), his step-children John Jones (Trisha), Mark Rice (Lillie), and Kyle Coleman (Kayla). He also leaves behind his brother Christopher Wooddell (Jennifer), his sisters Marcia Bader (Jerry), Daniella Wooddell, and Angela Harstfield (Dennis). Michael was a loving presence in the lives of his grandchildren, whose laughter was a source of joy to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Charlotte Wooddell.
Michael's love for life was contagious. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed building models of military tanks and planes. He loved to hang out with his kids and grandkids, and would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed watching cartoons with his grandchildren, walking his dogs, and traveling. His legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will never be forgotten.
Visitation for Michael will be held on Wednesday, 21st August 2024 at 10:00 am at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the same location. We invite you to join us in celebrating Michael's life and his enduring impact on all of us.
