Michael Adrian Zwilling

Michael Adrian Zwilling, age 79, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away on August 16, 2025.

Michael was born on May 24, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to Fred and Alice Zwilling. He grew up in German Village and graduated from Bishop Hartley High School in 1964 and was proud of his catholic faith. He went on to College at Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio and later joined the US Marine Corp where he served honorably as an Air Traffic Control Radar Technician. It was there he met the love of his life, Brenda. Following his time in the Marine Corp, he and Brenda moved back to Ohio where Michael worked as an Electronic Technician at Ametek Solidstate Controls. His job afforded him the opportunity to travel the world. He lived most of his life with Brenda in Canal Winchester, Ohio, cherishing his family, nature, and life's simple joys.

Michael will be fondly remembered for his gentle patience, his silly sense of humor, his elaborate stories of his life and his unwavering dedication to his family, rarely missing a game or event in support of his children and grandchildren. A lover of nature, he found peace in watching birds, admiring his blooming day lilies, geocaching, and taking walks in the park. He was a devoted dog lover and in his free time enjoyed playing solitaire on his iPad and reading science fiction. He was also proud of his time as a wrestler in high school.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Brenda Zwilling, parents Fred and Alice Zwilling, and sisters Patricia Schlaegel and Anna Marie Hamilton. He is survived by his son, Brad (Kori) Zwilling, his daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Haffele, and his grandchildren, Chayse, Avery, Drew, Madi, Cole, and Colton as well as many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.

A visitation will be held on August 23, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home in Pickerington at 550 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, OH 43147. Services will follow at the same location at 1:00 PM. The family invites all who knew Michael to attend and share memories. The funeral will also be live streamed at: HERE
