Micheal Andrew Mikulec

Micheal Andrew Mikulec, 67, of Lake Orion, passed away unexpectedly on September, 12th 2025. Born in Warren, Michigan to Joseph and Laura Mikulec on September 12th, 1958, he was the youngest of four children. He grew up in Milford, Michigan and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1976, and then Central Michigan University. Mike spent his career in the automotive industry with more than 25 years as a Designer at Chrysler.

Family meant everything to Mike. He met his beloved wife, Patricia, in July of 1989 when they went on a blind date. Their love led to a quick engagement and they married on November 3rd, 1990. In 1993, they welcomed their first son Joshua, followed by Jacob in 1994 and Leah in 1997. He enjoyed many family vacations and backyard pool parties as he watched his children grow up. Mike would attend his children's football games and dance competitions to cheer them on and he was always so proud of them.

Mike enjoyed watching Detroit Lions and Tigers games, trips to Las Vegas with his friends, attending concerts with family, spending time with his granddog Hank, and riding his bike on local trails. He had an endless amount of stories from his life as a child and young adult and he would always be eager to share them.

He is survived by his wife of almost 35 years, Patricia; his children, Joshua Mikulec, Jacob Mikulec, and Leah (Alex) Strong; his brothers Joseph (Diane) Mikulec and James (Donna) Mikulec; his brother-in-laws James (Sharon) Steplitus, Paul (Karen) Steplitus, and sister-in-law Monica (Christopher) Martin, as well as many nieces and nephews, friends, and relatives. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Mikulec, his mother Laura Mikulec, his sister Michelle Mikulec and his in-laws, Raymond and Dolores Steplitus.

Visitation will be held at Modetz Funeral Home Silverbell Chapel on Sunday, September 21st from 3:00-8:00 PM and Monday, September 22nd from 10:00-11:00 AM with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM.
