Michele Hand Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory on Nov. 8, 2023.
Michele Renee Jones Hand, 52, of Newnan, GA, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital after being sick for several years. She was born August 20, 1971, in Columbus, GA to Henry Eugene Jones & Glenda Payne Jones. She was preceded in death by her father Henry Eugene Jones, her grandparents Lewie Frank Payne & Mavis Payne, and Henry Paul Jones & Dorothy Jones.
Michele was born and lived in Columbus, GA until the family moved to Rome, GA where she attended Coosa High School. She later moved to Alabama where she raised her three children. Michele then returned to Georgia to help her mother and father with their newly formed company Mercy Data learning to manage the office and processing data as a subcontractor to the City of Atlanta's sewer line project. At the age of 9, Michele asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior and was later baptized at Wesleyan Baptist Church. She attended Line Creek Baptist Church and Crossroads Church in Sharpsburg, Ga. Michele never met a stranger and always had a smile and laughter that you would always remember. She deeply loved her three children and six grandchildren and spending time with them was the joy of life. Her hobby was working and building beautiful wreaths, bows, and arrangements with artificial flowers for any occasion. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 2:00 o'clock at Line Creek Baptist Church, 1488 Bob Smith Road, Sharpsburg, GA with Dr. David Hammonds officiating.
Michele leaves her mother, Glenda Jones of Newnan, GA; daughters, Lindsey (Tony) Schuch of Cumming, GA, Kymberly (Chase) Thomas of Oneonta, AL; son, Michael Hand of Newnan, GA; sisters, Missy (Roy) Roughton of Sharpsburg, GA and Mindy Jones of Jefferson, GA; grandchildren, Ava Schuch, Amelia Schuch, Rosalie Schuch, Evan Schuch of Cumming, GA, Cole Thomas, Hunter Thomas of Oneonta, AL; niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
