Michelle L. Alessandrello

Michelle L. Alessandrello, 69, of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. Michelle was born in Newark, New Jersey, on August 16, 1955; she was the daughter of the late John Sullivan and the late Vera Koller Sullivan. Michelle was a lifelong resident of the Poughkeepsie area. She graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School and was a devoted member of St. Martin de Porres Church. On May 5, 1979, at Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park, Michelle married Jon M. Alessandrello, who survives her at their home. Michelle worked as a receptionist for Allergy and Asthma Specialists, where she welcomed all patients with a warm smile and greeting. Michelle then moved into an administrative role at the district office for the Spackenkill Union Free School District and was loved by her colleagues for her dedication and kindness.Michelle had a passion for gardening, creating a backyard oasis with vibrant flowers in her butterfly garden that brought joy to her family and neighbors. Her knitting skills produced countless cozy blankets cherished by her grandchildren, who adored her homemade baked goods, especially during the holidays. Her warmth and creativity were felt by all who knew her. Michelle is survived by her husband, Jon, of Poughkeepsie; her daughter, Kristen, and son-in-law, Bill Stuart, of Wappingers Falls; her son, Jon, and daughter-in-law, Niki (Bizub) Alessandrello, of Depew, NY; and her grandchildren, Lucas, Conner, Abigail, and Jessica. Additionally, Michelle leaves behind her sisters, Janet, and Mary Johnson (Ken); brothers Michael Sullivan, John Sullivan (Kelly), and Robert Sullivan (Carla); and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Michelle's Life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, New York.
