Michelle L. "Micki" Stanislawski, 67, passed away suddenly Monday, March 31, 2025 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.
A Celebration of her life will be planned at a future date.
Michelle Lynn "Micki" was born September 23, 1957, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Glen Merrit and Rosemary (Rozinek) Hamann. She grew up in Prairie du Chien, attended high school, and soon began working in various fields. She was blessed with five children: Jennifer, Tami, Jim, Aaron, and Georgene. On July 7, 2007, she married Daniel A. Stanislawski. The two were friends in their younger years, and more than 30 years later, they reconnected and had been together ever since. They made their home in Nora Springs, where Micki owned and managed the local motel. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed meeting the many people who passed through its doors.
Fiercely strong yet endlessly giving, Micki was the kind of person who would fix anything for anyone if she could. She had a firm hand when it was needed but an even bigger heart. Her greatest joys in life were her children and being a grandmother. She cherished time spent visiting family and could often be found with a crochet project in hand, creating something special for those she loved. She will be remembered for her endless energy and unique sense of humor. Her endless love of plants and pets.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dan; children, Tami (Sabrina Vitieloo) Edwards, Jim (Barbie) Edwards, Aaron Olson and Georgene (Jessie Regal) Richardson; beloved grandchildren, Janessa and Jesse, Aiden and Abigail, and Moon Regal siblings, Cheri (Bill) Blakely, Roseann (Richard) Bagur, Joe Welsh, Krista (Terry) Lilly, Charles Welsh, Leanne McGowen, John Hamann, and Kyle Hamann; Dan's children, Kaylyn (Phillip) Bower and their child, Marais, and Kevin Stanislawski; a dear friend, Mary Mugan; as well as many extended family members and cherished friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her daughter, Jennifer who passed away at just four days old; and brother, Mike (Mary) Hamann.
