Michelle was born on April 18, 1984 in Fort Carson, CO, a daughter of the late Peter Walrath. Peter passed away unexpectedly at a young age and she was raised by William and Bonnie (Walrath) Roark from age eight. She graduated from Poland Central School in 2002 and later received a business degree from Bryant and Stratton College, Syracuse. Michelle was a caregiver at Upstate Cerebral Palsy, Poland for many years and was most recently employed by the ARC, Herkimer. She enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, fishing and being outdoors. Michelle was known for her beautiful smile, and was a huge Derek Jeter fan.
Survivors include her parents, William and Bonnie Roark of Ohio; her significant other, Michael Cvetezar and their children, Arabella and Patti Lou Cvetezar, all of Floyd; three siblings, Bill (Sabrina) Roark, Kim (Rusty) Barrows and Scott Roark, all of Ohio; a special aunt, Patricia Beach of Poland; special nieces and nephews, Alyssa (David) Greiner, Zac (Samantha) Roark, Bryant Barrows, and Chloe and Connor Roark; a great-niece, Peighton Greiner; her life-long best friend, Courtney Kolwaite; special friends, Caitlin Kerr, Kristina Johnson and Angel Roark; Michelle had a special place in her heart for Arabella and Patti Lou's grandfather, Paul Lindsey; a Godson, Jared Greiner; and many other friends and relatives. In addition to her father, Peter Walrath, Michelle was predeceased by her grandparents, Harold and Betty Walrath.
A memorial service will be held at the Newport United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 21st at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor's Scott and Zondra Coffin. Spring inurnment will take place in Ohio Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart and Stroke Association, 125 Business Park Drive, Suite 106, Utica, NY 13502.
