The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Nunnelley passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Nunnelley was born in Anniston, grew up in Wellington, and graduated from Alexandria High School. He began working at M&H Valve, then enlisted in the United States Navy in 1969 and served with honor for four years. Following his enlistment, he worked for M&H Valve and attended Ayers Technical College, where he earned certificates in radio and television repair and electronics. In 1980, he began working at Anniston Army Depot, where he worked as an Industrial Electrician, and retired in October 2006. Prior to his time at Antioch, he worked with the youth at Chulafinnee Baptist Church, where he also served as a deacon. He volunteered at the Baptist Service Center and Anniston Soup Bowl, and also did volunteer electrical work for members of the community. Mr. Nunnelley was able to fix anything, was the king of dad jokes, and loved making people smile. He will be most remembered as a loving husband and father and a faithful servant to the Lord. He absolutely adored his wife, his sons and daughters-in-law, and his grandchildren.
